~TRAINING MENU~
Prior to the first session, there will be a 30 minutes counseling meeting (time may vary).
This
is to get a background on the dog and an understanding of the issues which need
to be addressed.
One on One Training
This program meets a total of 4 times with
the basic training to include: Leash
walking (without pulling), Sit, Down, Stay, Come and Leave it.
You may pick one day during the week to
visit our facility.
This program teaches people how to
handle their dog, whether it is their first dog or a dog they are having issues
with during walks or other typical situations.
Training may take place at our facility
or the owner’s residence (owner’s discretion).
This program is for dogs which are
aggressive and incredibly difficult to handle at home.
We take unbalanced dogs, and through our
program, we bring them back to a balanced state.
The minimum length of time for this is
two weeks, and costs will include both boarding and training fees.
At the completion of this program, the
owner will need to attend a training session to become re-acquainted with their
dog and receive further instruction.
This program will rehabilitate the dog,
not “fix” the dog.
It is very important that the owner
learns how to handle their dog, to ensure the dog then maintains a balanced
state.
This program is two weeks long, with
puppies under six months being boarded at our facility.
Training includes: potty training, basic
commands, leash walking, crate training and more.
Private
Home Session
This program is for dogs that have issues
in or around the home.
A session is 90 minutes and will include
counseling.
If you live outside of the area, a fee
for travel will be added.
This program is for dogs that have
mastered the basic commands and need to move on to the next level of training.
The come and stay commands are vital in
situations such as at a dog park or dog beach.
For the safety of dogs, we will train
the owner to handle your dog in any situation.
There are 4 sessions, and you will need
to visit our facility.
This program is designed to prepare your
dog for off-leash handling.
We use electronic training collars with
remote control devices on trails, in fields and in situations where the dog may
not hear you and/or you lose sight of them.
Dogs will be boarded at our facility for
2 weeks.
Afterwards, the owner will attend a
session to become familiar with the electronic training collar and remote
control.
TOUGH LOVE philosophy:
How is your dog supposed to know what you expect of him unless you teach him?
The Functional Obedience are designed to create a bond between you and your dog, as well as establishing the household rules you want for your dog.
You will learn how you and your dog can live happily and peacefully together, while meeting each other’s needs.
We will go over and work on basic commands and behaviors, including but not limited to, walking politely on leash, sit, down, stay, and come.
We will also discuss and practice leadership skills as well as socialization. You will also be given homework to practice between sessions as well as handouts.
